When you look at your life now, do you ever think if what you are doing right now will actually matter in 5 years?
Really?
Hopefully what you are doing will make your life better, and will perhaps make a difference to your family, but is that all it’s about, will you have made anyone else’s life better?
Better yet, have you actually tried to make a difference in people’s lives? As a boss I’ve always tried to care about peoples lives outside work. Personal circumstances. I think that life is a holistic approach, and if they are unhappy at home they are unhappy and less productive at work, and visa versa.
I mean, all the bingo I play, I see lots of people asking advice in the chat, and lots of people giving it. Some is good, and some bad, but I genuinely think some of it makes a difference in peoples lives. They come back to the bingo rooms and thank people, and are really grateful that they have a supportive bunch of people they can chat to.
And you know what’s more amazing? Most people in those bingo chat rooms never actually meet.
It’s a ‘bingo home’ away from home! Family and friends in a chat room, with kindness and support after a long day at work, or with other people you are not so fond of!
Try it, you’ll be amazed by what you see.

As a single parent, the one thing that really makes life difficult is the cost of babysitting and allowing yourself the opportunity to meet other people and have a social life. It’s not that the opportunity is not there, but to tell you the truth, after a 10 hour day at work, getting home and settling the kids, getting everything set up for school / work the next day, the last thing I feel like doing is getting dressed up to go out and meet people, even if it is just to the local down the road. I’m too damn tired to tell you the truth!
Another problem is that I think I’m boring. Mind-numbingly boring. Oh-my- god- now-that-I – bought- her- a- drink-and-got-to-know-her- a- bit-how-do- I- get- rid- of- this- woman boring. Its’s sad I know, but I’m sure it’s true. I mean, I can talk about Internet Technology, shares, and kids, oh, and living in different countries, and how to move hemispheres in 6 weeks. That’s about it. And I hate clubs. Not crazy about pubs either, although I will go into them if dragged and plied with Pimms and lemonade. It’s probably the survival instinct in me. I can’t hear my mobile in clubs if there’s an emergency back home, and pubs are smoky and unhealthy.
So, what’s a girl to do? Or a boy for that matter. As men are single parents too. Well, Bingo is for both sexes, and you can pretend to be either online! I prefer to be myself ( SexySingle), but I’ve known a few guys who take girls names and visa versa. I’m not sure why, there’s the stereotype of men thinking girls don’t want to compete against men in games, in Bingo that doesn’t really hold. Then there’s the girls who doesn’t want to be hated up by guys in a bingo chat room, which could hold true, but the Bingo moderators really keep a tight ship with that kind of thing.
Adding to the home bingo playing and single parents, it’s basically the only place you can watch the kids, play with your friends, drink your favourite tipple, and hopefully make a bit on the side! Hey, that just about covers all my needs ( ok, don’t go there please….), and the chat is light, easy and fun, so no more boring men in bars so they fall off the chair in a stupor. Hey, this Bingo thing is a real win!
